Tales of a very happily married couple living, loving and growing in a loving FLM in suburbia. A very lucky submissive husband that was collared on his 15th wedding anniversary. That being said, we love hearing your thoughts, opinions, praise and critiques. Feel free to email either of us directly. Love is ........
“Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.”
That's the key to a submissive heart. Her happiness is a requirement. And that comes with a whole host of wonderful gifts: vulnerability, empathy, kindness and connection.
Um, not to be the proverbial wet blanket, but that's not the definition of "love" but rather the definition of 'emotional dependence' (which is not a good thing).
Being prone to this flaw resulted in some very serious damage in my previous relationship. Now, I actually WORK to minimize my inclination to have my own happiness revolve around my S.O. being happy.
sub hub, I do agree with that statement. I do things to keep my wife happy. And my wife did things to make me happy that many women would never do (chastity devices, finances, making many of the decisions, etc.). And that’s why I do what she asks and pleasure her in ways she wants. I just kissed and licked her feet thoroughly this morning. It’s worked both ways for love.

Maybe not the definition, but a key ingredient, don't you think?
DeleteSo KD what is your definition of love?
ReplyDeleteNice quote. Did you know Heinlein had something of a spanking fetish? It's true, I've looked it up.
ReplyDeleteI did not know that. Doesn't surprise me though. *smile
